13. What is difference between constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CC) power supply
A: Power supply is a device that provides electric energy for the load. The power circuit is what converts input electric energy into the desired form and outputs what called "power circuit". Power circuit can be roughly divided "constant voltage power supply" and "constant current power supply".

Classification of switching power supply

The structure and characteristics of the two types of switching power supply are described as follows.
2.1 DC/DC conversion
DC/DC conversion is the conversion of a fixed DC voltage into a variable DC voltage, also known as DC chopper. Chopper working mode has two ways, one is pulse width modulation mode, TS is unchanged and TON(general) is changed, the second is frequency modulation mode, TON is unchanged, Ts is changed (easy to produce interference). The specific circuit consists of the following categories:
(1) Buck circuit -- buck chopper, whose output average voltage
(2) Boost circuit - boost chopper, its output average voltage
(3) Buck-boost circuit -- Buck or Boost chopper, which
(4) CUK circuit - step-down or boost chopper, its output average electricity
The above is the non-isolation circuit, the isolation circuit has forward circuit, fly back circuit, half bridge circuit, full bridge circuit and push-pull circuit.
2.2 AC/DC conversion
AC/DC transformer transforms AC into DC, and its power flow can be bidirectional. The power flow from power supply to the load is called "rectification", and the power flow from the load back to the power supply is called "active inverter". AC/DC converter input is 50/60Hz alternating current, because it must be rectified and filtering, so relatively large volume of filtering capacitor is essential, at the same time due to safety standards (such as UL, CCEE, etc.) and EMC directive restrictions (such as IEC, FCC, CSA), AC input side must add EMC filter and use components in accordance with safety standards , thus limiting the miniaturization of AC/DC power supply volume. Therefore, the optimization design method of power supply system must be adopted to make the efficiency of AC/DC converter reach a certain degree of satisfaction.
AC/DC transform can be divided into half-wave circuit and full-wave circuit according to the wiring mode of the circuit. According to the number of power supply, phase can be divided into single phase, three phase and multi phase. According to the circuit working quadrant, it can be divided into one quadrant, two quadrant, three quadrant and four quadrant.
